THE WORD of GOD
The Bible is the infallible Word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. ( II Peter 1:21; II Timothy 3:16)
THE GODHEAD
God is one and is manifested in three persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (John 10:30; Philippians 2:6; John 15:26)
THE FALL and REDEMPTION of MAN
Man was created by God in the likeness and image of God. Through Man's disobedience, sin entered the world. Jesus Christ, son of God, was manifested to destroy the works of the devil and redeem and reconcile us back to God through the shedding of His blood and life-giving sacrifice. (Genesis 1:26, I John 3:8; Romans 3:10,23)
SALVATION
All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God . Our first step towards salvation is godly sorrow that works repentance. We must confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead. (John 3:3; Romans 10:9-10; II Corinthians 7:10)
WATER BAPTISM
Baptism is a direct commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ for believers. It is a symbol of the believer's identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12; Acts 8:36)
BAPTISM of the HOLY SPIRIT
This is a gift subsequent to salvation that the believer may have power to be a witness for Christ. (Acts 1:8, 2:4, 2:38-39; John 14:16-17)
SANCTIFICATION
We have been sanctified through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ and by a new and living way he has consecrated for us that we may grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 10:10; II Peter 3:18; Philippians 3:12-14: I Thessalonians 5:23)
DIVINE HEALING
Healing, be it physical, spiritual, emotional or financial is part of the ATONEMENT that was made for us through Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Mark 16:18; James 5:14-20; I Peter 2:24)
HELL and ETERNAL RETRIBUTION
WE believe that if one physically dies without Jesus Christ as Savior, they are eternally lost and subject to eternal retribution in the lake of fire which was not created for man but for Satan and his demons. (Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 19:20)
MORE ABOUT OUR SERVICES
COMMUNION
The Lord's Supper or Communion, consisting of bread and fruit of the vine, is a memorial of Christ's suffering and death (1 Corinthians 11:26). In eating and drinking the symbols of Christ suffering and death, the believer expresses his awareness that through salvation he (1) has been made right with God, and (2) shares the divine nature of eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ. The ordinance also looks forward to proclaim the Lord's death "until He comes!"
PRAYER FOR THE SICK
As in the New Testament, specific prayer may be offered for the sick. Sometimes, they will be invited forward to be anointed with oil (James 5:14-16) and the ministers or other believers lay hands on them for prayer.
WORSHIP
At Christ Fellowship Church, we worship God in a Spirit-led, Biblical manner, expressing our love and desire for Him (Psalm 150) - Sing (Colossians 3:16), Clap (Psalms, 47:1), Lift our Hands (Psalms 134:2), Shout (Psalms 98:4) and Dance 149:3)
GIVING
During the service, tithe and offerings are received, and this too, is worship. We believe that giving the tithe, the first tenth of our income, and offerings declares that God comes first. "Honor the LORD from your wealth and from the first of all your produce; so your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine" (Proverbs 3:9-10). We believe that God called an Old Testament saint to give 10%. How much more would He require of us who now have Jesus' death on the cross and the Holy Spirit to guide us? Tithing is a signpost for us to begin our walk with God as we move into His grace to give with liberality to God (I Corinthians 8:1-5). Giving recognizes His blessing, expresses faith, and seeks His guidance in every matter of life. The ministries of Christ Fellowship Church are supported solely by free will giving.
